From a dreamy child to a driver of change

My grandmothers, Sira Diagana and Assa Sakho, were the first Lionesses of my life — courageous, generous, and determined women.

Born into a Soninké family, pioneers in exporting indigo dye in Senegal, my story is closely tied to this ancestral heritage.

Since childhood, I have always been a solitary little girl, eyes turned toward the horizon, dreaming of a better world.

These childhood dreams matured over time, transforming into a deep desire to contribute positively to our society.

Today, through Lionnes de la Téranga,
I choose to be an actor of change, supporting women artisans and promoting values of solidarity, equity, and respect for the environment.

I arrived in France around the age of 10, a major upheaval that marked my life.

After several years spent in a large Parisian law firm, then in the refined world of perfumery, the birth of my daughter Aminata was a true turning point.
That day, I chose to follow my real path: combining social impact with the trade of African craftsmanship.

For as long as I can remember, I have loved meeting others, listening, exchanging, sharing. I also have a deep admiration for handmade work, for these unique creations that carry within them a story, a skill, and a tradition.”

Today, through my work, I am fulfilling a dream: uniting my human values with my love for craftsmanship.
Each piece I offer is the result of meaningful encounters, skills passed down with passion, and my desire to share with you a touch of the authenticity that moves me so deeply.

Welcome to my world ✨

Why "Lionnes de la Téranga" ?

This name is no coincidence. The lion is the emblem of my country — a symbol of strength and nobility. And I am a lioness, both in spirit and at heart.

Téranga represents Senegalese hospitality, a core value rooted in generosity, respect, and solidarity.
Even though I collaborate with craftswomen from various African countries, it was essential for me to bring them all together under this powerful symbol.

These women are my lionesses. Together, we form a proud, strong, and supportive tribe — a community united by the desire to build a better future.

Through Lionnes de la Téranga, I want to give them a space to express themselves, to live from their craft, to provide for their families, and to educate their children.

Every creation sold is a victory. A step forward. A roar of hope.
